Óscar Fernández Orengo

Photographer

Óscar Fernández Orengo (San Sebastián, Spain, 1971) is a photographer that specializes in photographing filmmakers with a panoramic camera in black and white. Some of his exhibitions on this project include “A través de mis ojos” (2007), “Cineastas Contados” (2011) or “Seguimos Rodando” (2018), which have been hosted in numerous cities and institutions around the world.

Other exhibitions that bear his signature are “La escena cotidiana” (2008), a series of portraits of Spanish actors and actresses, or “Shooting Manila” (2009) with 44 portraits of Filipino filmmakers.

 

He is also a photographer for the D'A Film Festival (Festival de cinema d’autor de Barcelona) and has worked as a still photographer in films by Javier Rebollo, Isaki Lacuesta, Mar Coll, Jonás Trueba, Roger Gual, Luis Miñarro and Elio Quiroga.

 

He has published in numerous magazines and newspapers such as Caiman Cuadernos de Cine, Esquire, Sofilm, ICON, El País or La Vanguardia.
